About Us

Established in 1968, South Shore Anesthesia Associates, Inc. (SSAAI) provides exemplary anesthesia care to the communities of the South Shore and Southeastern Massachusetts. SSAAI uses an Anesthesia Care Team Model, combining both Board Certified Anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA’s) for optimal patient care and clinical outcomes.

Currently comprised of twenty-three physicians and twenty-three CRNA’s, SSAAI provides comprehensive anesthesia services at two of Massachusetts most respected medical centers: South Shore Hospital in Weymouth and Milton Hospital in Milton.

For more than thirty years SSAAI has worked collaboratively with South Shore Hospital. SSAAI provides 24-hour critical care coverage for South Shore Hospital’s three intensive care units as well as providing obstetrical anesthesia - both elective and emergent, and anesthesia for both pediatric and adult surgery.

In 2008, SSAAI partnered with Milton Hospital to provide outstanding perioperative anesthesia care.

SSAAI has also established two of Massachusetts’ busiest pain management centers: one at South Shore Hospital and one at Milton Hospital. Both sites offer comprehensive treatment strategies for many types of pain conditions, both acute and chronic.
