South Shore Anesthesia Associates is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our rapidly growing Pain Management practice in Hingham, Massachusetts.

Under the general guidance of the Medical Director of Pain Management and the Department of Anesthesia Chairman, the Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and/or counsel patients with a variety of pain management problems in an outpatient setting (Pain Center at 2 Pond Park) and an inpatient setting (South Shore Hospital). The Nurse Practitioner will perform independent patient assessments, develop and manage treatment plans, and provide treatment recommendations with physician oversight and collaboration. The Nurse Practitioner will also prescribe and manage medications.

This dedicated, independent individual must be eager to succeed in an autonomous role, but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Prior experience in pain management or neurology/neurosurgery is desired. Ability to read and review radiographic reports and images is essential.

The position is part time (3 days/week, 48 hours per pay period) with the potential to expand to full time as the practice grows.

Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts RN/NP License, Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANCC or AANP), current Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) Number as well as a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Number from the MA DPH
• At least three years of clinical experience required
• Clinical work experience in pain management or neurology/neurosurgery is preferred
